Gotta tip you want to share with Sarah and the Go Green Ride at Five? Email her: sarah@921wvtk.com!
Here Sarah's groovy green tips for Wednesday, June 9th:
• Didja know that you can now buy kitchenware products made of recycled materials? Or, better yet, clean out that butter or yogurt tub and give Tupperware a run for their money!
• Speaking of recycling in the kitchen: before you rush out to buy another pan after your husband burnt his oatmeal in your old one, instead go to the consignment stores...less resources and money spent in the end!
I'm a confessed book hog. I love to read 'em, collect 'em, trade 'em with friends, everything but dust 'em (that's my teenager's job). I only wish I had more time to spend with them. I long for an afternoon with no other worries than whether Brooke and her Norse Viking, Blake, will run off together in that romance novel I've been trying to finish. There are gadgets, now, you can spend lots of money on that can help you avoid buying new books ( I detect some irony there…). I'd get into that but why give them the free advertising. Instead, I'd just like to remind you of our neighborhood libraries, full to the gills with many adventures, mysteries, biographies, movies...whatever you're looking for and all of them free to a good temporary home. Or why not take a walk through a used book store like Otter Creek Books on Main Street in Middlebury. I like them, so they get a free mention! Hey, reading is privilege that many don't get. Spend lots of time and very little money on the pleasure, thus making it all that much more pleasurable. Just some green words on the Go Green Ride at Five on 92.1 WVTK!
