Here Sarah's groovy green tips for Tuesday, June 15th:
Don't forget when the time comes to grocery shop, think farmer's market! You won't find it anywhere else as fresh and it's a wonderful way to contribute to your community. Middlebury's Farmers Market is Saturdays 9:30 to 1 and Wednesdays 9 to 12:30!
The weather is beautiful today, get out and do something outside this evening! Walk, or toss a ball, throw a frisbee, weed a garden, plant a tree...you get the idea.
With Father's Day looming, I'm sure you're busy trying to think up something original for Dad. I know I am. Does Dad pride himself on being the first to get the latest, greatest gadgets? If that's the direction you're headed, you might offer to donate, resell, or recycle his "old" electronics, you know whatever ones you're replacing. There's some really cool eco-friendly gadgetry that he'd love like a solar-powered backpack, which is made mostly of recycled plastic bottles and converts a day's worth of sunlight into a full charge for a laptop or cell phone.
