Gotta tip you want to share with Sarah and the Go Green Ride at Five? Email her: sarah@921wvtk.com!
Here Sarah's groovy green tips for Wednesday, September 1st:
• Every shopping bag you invest in has the potential to eliminate an average of 1,000 plastic bags in it’s lifetime.
• When was you last tune up? A properly maintained engine can improve mileage by up to 4%. That’s a roll in the right direction!
I had a friend of mine make a reference to the fact that the price of gas is down and therefore she felt better about driving all the way into Burlington for one small errand. That kills me. I mean, if you have no other choice, that’s one thing, but if you can put off that long car ride until you have several things to do in that area, then why not do that? I don’t think the price of gas should be our motivator to save resources. The motivator is to…well…save resources! Right? My daughter is waiting to finish the rest of our school shopping until we have a few other things to do on that side of the universe. That’s the way it is. By the way, so it doesn’t embarrass her, I won’t blow the horn on that friend of mine who was willing to drive all the way into Burlington just for a sale on hoodies. Don’t worry, Tina, you’re safe. Oh, oops! Heh heh. It’s the Go Green Ride at Five on 92.1 WVTK!
