Go Green tips for October 19th

Gotta tip you want to share with Sarah and the Go Green Ride at Five? Email her: sarah@921wvtk.com!

Here Sarah's groovy green tips for Tuesday, October 19th:

• Switching from traditional incandescent bulbs to fluorescent is the easiest and most cost-efficient fix for saving energy. Make the switch, today!
• Halloween is upon us before we know it, take time to talk with the kids about how important it is to wait to eat their candy until they get home. Number one for you to check through and make sure the candy is safe and also to avoid leaving any candy wrappers behind for your neighbors to find!

Talking Halloween, again! Any holiday that advocates free all-you-can-eat candy is all right by me! This weekend, there may be a couple chances at low-cost costumes for the kids or even adults for your Halloween festivities! The Middlebury Community Players are hosting a "Just in Time for Halloween Costume Blow Out Sale" on Sunday from 11am to 3pm. This is the perfect opportunity to get some awesome vintage pieces to construct the perfect Halloween costume! Vintage hats, accessories, jeans, coats and shoes in all sizes, kids and adult. I’ve been in their warehouse, we’re talking a treasure trove of stuff! Where are they? Their warehouse is on Route 7S opposite Foster Motors -- Look for Balloons and Signs! They want to make sure you see it! All proceeds will benefit Middlebury Community Players Scholarship Fund. It’s cash only, so plan ahead! Saving money and going vintage on the Go Green Ride at Five on 92.1 WVTK.
